The Capitalisation and Evaluation Research Network
The Capitalisation and Evaluation Research Network (CERN) network brings together experts in evaluation from across Europe in order to share ideas and practice, undertake research and develop new tools and instruments for the evaluation of vocational education and training. Our Ideas
CERN is committed to the idea of evaluation as structured and skilled intervention in the cycle of project planning, implementation and review, which adds value by providing feedback, offering alternative interpretations, challenging assumptions and helping stakeholders make judgements about the effectiveness and impact of their policies and practices. In this context, it is essentially a diagnostic and developmental process, the aim of which is to maximise the collective learning of the organisation and the wider community and improve quality in the future.Aims of the network
The aims of the CERN network are to:- Improve the relevance and effectiveness of training projects
- Improve the evaluation skills of practitioners, trainers and managers
- Inform the capitalisation process
How the CERN network can help you
The CERN network has developed a range of products and services including:- Access to ideas and information about evaluation
- Materials and tools to support the design of evaluation systems
- Handbooks and guidelines for evaluation
- Training in evaluation skills for internal (or external) evaluators and project workers

CERN Game
- LUDOVALUATE is a game on evaluation
